Install factory software first
Then flash 1.14

Would you lose sp1 doing this?

No you would not.

Rolling back or installing firmware does not change the serial number of the box that is used to login to forever.

1.14 100% was capable of SP1 so it will work as it does now. You will get the nag screen a box update is available.

Thank you. The box just has a problemwith hdmi cec implementation. Causing soundbar to disconnect from TV. The Nvidia shield will only go through the TV speakers.

Disconnect the hdmi cable from the viark and the TV is then able to route the sound to soundbar. Not to mention box has randomly went into standby mode and won't come out until reboot.

I should just for the sake of doing it, switch the hdmi cable before reverting to older firmware.

There are some settings with regards to hdmi-cec settings in the viark menu system. Maybe have a look in there as well.

I did that, will have another go before flashing. My main issue was the box going into sleep mode after a few minutes. Been ok the last few times I've watched a match but now I can see tv not routing audio to the soundbar when I switch hdmi input.

I know it's the viark doing. I dont think the handshake of disconnect that it does with the TV works correctly.

But will play about with the settings to make sure it's off and change the cable etc...

Is it part of the digital albania package? I might just be that whoever owns the card simply did not want porn on that package on the card.
