Why Toroidal?
There are many other antennas available on the market that offer multi satellite capabilities for a limited arc range, designed based on a parabolic formula.

The limitation of these multi-beam parabolic antennas comes from its original formula. Only one LNBF, which is installed at the center, is at its optimal position.

In other words, the other LNBFs are not at their optimal position. Therefore, a customer may experience rain fade and weak signal strength on the channels coming off from these not-optimally located LNBFs.

On the other hand, Toroidal formula makes it possible to locate all LNBFs at their optimal position due to its dual reflector design of Toroidal antenna. Therefore, Toroidal antenna provides the same signal strength and stable signal for all LNBFs under various environments.

Toroidal 55? or Toroidal 90?
Wavefrontier currently offers two different models, T55 and T90.

Toroidal 55

T55 has the same effectiveness of 55 cm (20 inches) dish for each LNBF installed.

T55 can accommodate up to 8 LNBFs.

T55 can cover up to 40 degrees in arc (60 degrees in azimuth)

Toroidal 90

T90 has the same effectiveness of 90 cm (38 inches) dish for each LNBF installed.

T90 can accommodate up to 16 LNBFs.

T90 can cover up to 40 degrees in arc (60 degrees in azimuth)

Wave frontier alternative

Hi I can also vouch for using a toroidal dish...

An alternative to the wave frontier that I have recently installed is the Visiosat Bisat with the optional arm for 28.2 degrees...:)

Now I have a very strong signal for 13/19 & 28 all from one dish (70cm)... The Bisat dish & bracket is signifantly cheaper than that of the wavefrontier... although not offering a flexible track for custom positioning of the lnbs... I know that visiosat do offer alternate fixed arm configs - although i'm not sure were you could source these - as it was dificult to find somewhere to sell the one I purchased.

If anyone is interested the bracket for the Visiosat is very solid and well constructed so the dish is not prone to movement...

Easy to install - First install for me :thum: I had only to align one of the lnb arms to 28 degrees using a sky dish as a meter & the other lnbs all ligned up perfect first time - the alignment took about 20mins!!!

ya they sound good in theory but they arent. I had a T55 then upgraded to a T90 and my 1m blows it away. the signal is not even comparable. I ended up giving the thing away to a friend for free.

I got a T90, but I needed something more descrete. I'm not sure if I'll get round to using it, but I was blown away by what it can do... I'm not allowed to hae a dish where I live. But I'm getting away with a smaller one. It looked smaller in the pics lol ah well!
