Espn is used as an example here, should work for any biss channel
OK, so this is what I did to get the ESPN channels working on the M4.
Steps....
1. Go into the BISS Menu.
2. Edit line 1 and enter the keys for ESPN 901
3. Edit line 2 and enter the keys for ESPN 902
4. Save your changes.
5. Exit the BISS Menu.
6. Go into the PATCH Menu.
7. Hit the right arrow on the remote to select the BISS section within
this menu. There are others, like PowerVu, Irdeto2, Tandberg, etc.
You will see the BISS writing in yellow in top right hand of the screen.
8. Place your cursor on line 1 which has the ESPN 901 key.
9. Now hit the Edit (green) button on the remote to enable you to edit
the section to input the correct transponder, symbol rate, polarity and SID.
10. The lines should look like this when finished...
001 00 1F FF 0F XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX
002 00 1F FF 0F YY YY YY YY YY YY YY YY
(Please note that the XX's above are representative of the ESPN 901 keys detailed elsewhere, and the YY's above are also a representation
of the ESPN 902 keys also detailed elsewhere).
11. As you move the cursor up and down on each line in the Menu, you
will notice that there is a blue line at the top that changes with
each line you go to.
It looks like this...
"Freq:S.R.Polarity:SID=XXXXX:00000:V:0000"
This has to be edited/updated to reflect the correct values of the
satellite transponder frequency, symbol rate, polarity and SID.
12. Highlight line 1 with the ESPN 901 key and hit the Edit(Green)
button.
13. Scroll down the Side menu that appears to the "OK" button and press it.
14. The action in step 13 will move your cursor to the frequency, symbol rate, polarity and SID. Now you can edit them to match the ESPN
details.
15. ESPN 901 Frequency = 12609, Symbol Rate = 07552, Polarity = H and SID = 0385
16. ESPN 902 Frequency = 12609, Symbol Rate = 07552, Polarity = H and
SID = 0386
17. Save your changes and exit the Patch Menu.
18. Switch off your M4 box at the back and wait for at least 60 seconds.
19. Turn on your M4 box at the back and go to the channels.
That's what I did and it worked for me, so I hope it works for you.
