TM5402 M4 17/05/2023 patch feedback here

Hi Coastman,
A new patch dated today the 17th May has been released. I have just tested it. What follows is not an opinion just what I have seen
and have pictures to show you all if the Mods agree I can upload them.
1. BISS AU works fine on my box. I tested on 15W and 16E and it cleared the BISS channels, albiet with a message stating
that it was doing the update and please wait...30secs or so later the channel cleared.
2. More BISS testing by updating both the BISS menu and Patch menu and setting every single key to 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00.
Then placed box on BISS channel and waited...AU worked with message and then channel cleared.
Checked both BISS and Patch Menus and saw that keys had been updated correctly and auto inserted in both menus.
3. I have a picture of 16E SRTV clearing if I am allowed to upload it.
Overall BISS AU appears to me to be working, but please please contact me and let's exchange information so we can help each
other and more importantly pass it on to the rest of the forum.
4. Certain channels on 28.2 E with Bee Tee Sport are clearing, both SD and HD
5. Certain channels on 28.2E with Sly UK suite are also clearing. I have screenshots if allowed to upload.
6. Certain channels on 19.2E with Sly DE suite are also clearing.
7. Certain channels on 13.0E with Sly IT suite are also clearing.
Please note that my box is SP1 enabled.
That's it, just the facts of what I tested and have seen, no opinion. Hope it helps and happy
to check and test anything anyone thinks should be checked.

You can upload your screenshots
i have not seen anyone get into any trouble at all for uploading screenshots as long as it does not contain anything explicit
and not massive sized screenshots then its fine : )

Hi Kippysat.
Thats excellent work with the detailed report of todays patch, Unfortunately have to say that after loading the patch i still cannot get biss au to work all the onscreen message says is the usual 'Updating Biss Key please wait'
which takes ages before it then says 'Scrambled Channel'. I have come to the conclusion that its a problem with my receiver as i fully understand the procedure of how it works as had no problem with biss au when it was
working in the early patches. You say you have SP1 which i do not have or indeed fs as do not know how to get them so are you saying its working as maybe its because you have those installed?
Could you please check a couple of biss channels 7e 11689v 5040 Ava entertainment and 21e 11585v 2500 Riyadh MCR as they dont even clear with the regular key updates will be interesting if you get them to clear. Thanks.

I have no TM5402 M4 here, but this new patch seems very interesting.
Really hoping that such new 4K TM box will be released soon.
And, if it will be combo too, well, possibly we will be back in that good time of glorious TM6902/7102 receivers.
Maybe TM is waking up again! It would be really nice.

I am ready to test on my box and see what happens. Apologies, but I don't have access to 7e or 21e.
I can access 28.2E, 23.5E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 10E, 9E......then 1W, 15W.
Do you have any transponders/feeds I can check on the above?
Yes, after you load the latest patch May 17th.
Sorry Manic, you are absolutely correct.
For Bomber55 and all:
Latest patch dated 17th May will work with TM 5402 M4, but only after you have sub to SP1.

Manic's already said it won't be a combo, presume it will be enigma 2 but that would mean no FS on the box maybe ? I wasn't keen on the Viark box when i tried it, the OCD in me couldn't live with large chunks of the epg being 1 hour out and didn't like that i couldn't put the satellites in the order i want.
Hopefully the new 4k Technomate is as user friendly as the old 1500's were and supports FS.

It will be very similar to the Viark 4k in my opinion. But 4k Forever boxes are a bit like a chocolate fire guard anyway.

I have to agree. When the new TM 4K arrives, I will bet my house it will be closed source and neither Android or Enigma2.I doubt the 4K Technomate will be

Technomate made Enigma2 boxes in the past, but they moved away from them. Why, I don't know, but other members
might be able to say.
One thing I would like to say is that with the expected arrival of the TM 4K being Q4 2023, it was necessary to produce
the most recent patch of May 17th for the M4 5402. The last patch was in Oct 2022, almost 9 months ago.
They had been too quiet and needed to do something.
This isn't a Viark thread, but just as a comparison, the Viarks have new patches roughly every six months or so. This is
what Technomate should in my humble opinion aim to do as well.
I hope they are listening, learning and will take a leaf out of the Viark book so to speak when it comes to regular updates.
