hi
im looking for advice on a new reciever.
i have had a cuberevo mini for a few years now and while the picture quality has been superb the brand never seemed to reach full development with regard to images etc and it is really an enthusiasts box. i will be a bit sad to move to a new box as i have become quite attached to it.
i have been looking at the vu+ ultimo which seems to be the natural replacement for me.
i would like my new box to have a fully functional epg and act as a close as a sly + hd bosx as possible i think 2 tuners would be sufficient and probably a max of 1tb hdd so if anyone can advise me the help would be very much appreciated.

ET9000 has been around for a while now.
You could get a used one for less than 200 USD.

I would go for a Dreambox that has OE2.0 support.

thanks, I wanted to buy one that can do blind search, can u suggest any sites l can it from ?

Also which one would u suggest to go for between technomate tm8000 or VU+ Uno

VU+ (ie VU+ Uno) range or the DR HD range (ie DR F15/F16) = Best

Technomate (eg TM7102) = Close 2nd and good blind scan

also worth mentioning the Blind Scan features of the Spiderbox range (its just a shame the Spiderbox hardware is assembled so cheaply/shoddily)

which box should i go for VU+ SOLO HD or DM800HD (PRO)or something else it is for a friend they are roughly same price I have a DM800HD myself on sim2.01 but it has the old tuner and the tuner is going so going to get the latest Tuner version (M) that's if it'll fit into it not checked inside the box yet. I have had this box for about 2 1/2 years so I know they are reliable and good quality but I also know things move onward and upwards so any advise would be great.

The hardware should be identical to xtrend ET9000, but without security board. Meaning the good xtrend drivers cannot be used and no proper support.

I'm looking for a receiver that has dvbs2 and dvbt or dvbt2 as tuners. Interested for a reasonable price.

it yes but i prefure VU DUO2 OR VU SOLO2

I have VU SOLO2 original i am very happy with it it is very fast and brilliant picture
