Tapeless playout for Flextech channels
Flextech's TV channels are all now operating on tapeless playout from Red Bee Media's Broadcast Centre in West London.
Living TV was the final channel to make the switch, going tapeless two weeks ahead of schedule last Tuesday. Ftn, Bravo, Challenge, Player, Living TV 2, Trouble and the various timeshifts had all converted over the prior three weeks.
"In the past two years we have migrated over 75 channel streams into the Broadcast Centre," said John Pink, commercial director at Red Bee, "Flextech Television's services were uniquely complex given the integration of media management, post production and playout."
More than 11,000 hours of programming content from Flextech have been ingested into the playout system thusfar.
