Any pros here, please?

A few observations/questions...

First of all, the guys setting it all up had some surplus parts (Gibertini 150cm) - can this be OK?

Secondly, it seems the adapter should be made square (squeezed sideways to make it square) but it is bigger than the LNB arm etc. The scheme that comes with the slider suggests it should be put inside the LNB arm...

Is this the only way to do it - remove the special LNB holder for my present LNB and set it all up on the sliders somehow?

And if that is the case - it seems a bit inadequate... Only one long screw + nut sideways. Is that OK?

Just look at the scheme, which comes with this part...

Anyone with any actual experience, please?

Thanx!

Gorsky! Congratulations on your neat setup and future plans. This Gibertiny discussion is little bit out of T90 topic and could be discussed separately. However, you as a topic starter can develop thread as you wish (perhaps).
Did you get this feedhorn as part of Gibertiny 150cm? You can make multifeeds from parts bought in nearest home-depot type shop. Cheap and effective.

Hi, guys!

Thanx for this! Sadly, no such depos here, where I live... Not that I can find them, that is.

The problem is that the span must be larger, hence the specialist LNB slider and actually one must put together 2 of those, one in each direction.

You see, I need to go 11 degrees East from the centre 28E (to 39E) and 12 degrees West to 16E. That means, it seems to me, that I must remove the special LNB holder for my feedhorn and that disturbs me a bit... Because I am uncertain if setting it on the slider will be as efficient as it being as it is now...

Hence my questions...

Btw, I had to include Gibertini 1.5m because this is the only way to get BBC and so on from 28E. T90 simply has to co-operate with Gib, as I also have problems with weak TPs on 16E and so on.

Therefore, I decided this was a beautifully enriching marriage of the two... :D

It seems - according to this picture, that it is possible on a large dish to go 11 or maybe even 12 degrees in either direction...

Really, I must test this carefully...

Thanx for this, Rimas!!!

Sick as a dog but I may have cracked it, with the stuff I have at hand, we'll see when the installers come back... (Have a look, please, tell me what you think... ;) )

It's not centred but one place to the right, so I have more space for going West (12 degrees needed) and less going east (11 degrees needed) - but it seems ample space...

However, the angles will have to be fine tuned, the sliders slightly bent, I think...

They have to be bent upwards on the sides anyhow...

Route for me... :)

Here are some examples of "normal" (single reflector) dishes with multiple LNBs, thanx to Njezic... ;) I think it's a good reference point, so we shall have to take this into account when setting up my 6 LNB combo... :)

Mind, all those dishes are smaller than mine, so this is just a general guideline...:clapping:

Yes - especially when you compare the "best" sat TV installer in Parma, IT, who couldn't do ANY of this, running away from it, scared shi*less...

Jezzus!!!! Anyone competent in Italy, with the necessary tools, who can do this?!?

I forgot to give you this: the first EU importer (from Luxembourg) of T90 had an idea to modify the T90 with 2 additional pieces of metal welded into the second reflector, plus longer LNB slider, to cover 60 degrees easily...

Sadly, the Korean manufacturers didn't even acknowledge it, never mind manufacture it on a greater scale...

Anyone who has EMP Centauri 16/1 switch?

Also, using OE-A based image (OpenATV or PB etc.) with problems in setting it up in a pure DiSEqC 1.1 mode? Somebody removed these options under Configure Tuner -> "Advanced" for 16 (or more) LNBs via DiSEqC 1.1 protocol (it worked really well with EMP 16in1 switch):

Command order [uncommitted, committed, toneburst]
Uncommitted DiSEqC command [Input 1 -> 16]

EMP 16/1 has a pure DiSEqC 1.1 mode and it needs those two options to work.

HELP!!!

I don't think it's all the same...

You see, older images I used (mostly OpenPLi based) had the options I mentioned above.

But the new ones (OpenViX > OE-A based) do not have those options...

I know all about the old ones, I used them without any problems!

But the new ones had a clever dick who killed various options and stopped supporting various HW!!! Dick-head, indeed!!!

I tried even this option in EMP 16/1 scheme: DiSEqC 1.0 + 1.1

This is how I presumed what's what in EMP scheme, i.e. what it refers to in E2 - here are only the E2 settings that apparently need changing:

LNB > 1-16
DiSEqC mode > 1.1
Toneburst > A
(= is this "pos A" in EMP scheme; it goes from A to B all the time, from one combination to the next, i.e. => A, B, A, B, A, B...?)
DiSEqC 1.0 command > Port A (= "opt A" in EMP scheme; A, then A and then B, and B again => A, A, B, B for the first 4 options and that is repeated for each Input = 4 Inputs for 16 LNBs)
DiSEqC 1.1 command > Input 1 (= "uncom 1" in EMP scheme and it stays like that for the above 4 combinations and then it's repeated for Input 2 and so on to maximum of 4 for 16 LNBs?)
Command order > "DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1 toneburst" (and I tried it differently, too - but this is the order of these commands in E2 settings, so logically... IF THERE IS ANY LOGIC to their order in E2 Settings list??!!??)
Some say that Sequence repeat should also be edited to > Yes. Correct?

Ouch! It used to be so simple and it ran flawlessly! And now...

Who came up with the clever idea to remove it, FFS?!?

Well, thanks to those who made the effort (it helped!), I noted that their settings were more or less the same as mine, so I took somebody's advice (nick escapes me now, sorry) who had a similar problem and decided that the STB may have messed up the switch or the communication with it.

He didn't change any of the settings and went to unplug and disconnect everything from everything, rewire it and try again. And it worked.

I tried one more thing before that, since I had to do it anyway: I put together/wired another EMP 16/1 and tried connecting it. It didn't work, I suspect for the same reason. Then, I did as he did and it worked. Don't ask me why exactly but it solved the mystery. I didn't touch the settings.

Go figure...

Later, when I get a moment, I will post my settings, as well, if anyone should need it...

Cheerio! :)

P.S. Finally, a shower, after 3 days of gargantuan struggle... :D :D :D Now, I need to sleep a little, too...
