Excellent forumn very large hard to know where to start looking.
I am a complete novice in terms of cards and the like.
I have a coolstream hd1 with a 90cm motorised dish setup and working with 25 sats scanned in from 30w to 40e I think.
I would love to know what to do next though, I have read so much stuff I am completey confused. I am very happy with the coolstream it is an excellent box.
I have read about buying "a gift" or a card for say 100 pounds, then you would have to use mgcamd to point it to the card server with the ip address, username and password. I think this is because ccam doesn't work with coolstream hd1.
I have also seen that there are images available with these things already loaded into them, it is dangerous flashing a new image onto the box?
I have also read a little about the diablo card don't really know what it does. There is a thing in the menu called "Key Setup" again don't really know what Im talking about
To be honest I would rather pay 150 and get the Diablo card with the thing called CAS3+ programming interface and would be prepared to do the work and learn stuff if it mean't I didn't have to pay another 100 pounds and get the football card or whatever it is.
Just wanted to know the difference between diablo and the cards you buy I suppose. Sorry to ramble on, but there is no eady FAQ guides for idoits such as myself.
