SmartDVB x64 and vPlug

When I first moved to Win10, the SmartDVBx64-0.5.3.26 version wouldn't work at all for me. Tried installing again the other day and it's now working fine.
Am puzzled however by the use of plugins though; to use trusty old 32-bit vPlug, I understand I need to put it in the mdplugins folder, which I've done. The MDAPIHost runs, displays the log, but there are no plugins seen in the Plugins menu option. Have searched on this, but am still none the wiser. Any advice welcome, thanks.

use 32bit smartdvb it works usually a bit buggy, also vplug needs to remove some file from the folder to work otherwise wont start.

That's what I've always been using, but 64-bit SmartDVB works better than the 32-bit version for me, it's just lacking the plugins option. The problem seems to be that MDAPIHost is not seeing vPlug, which I can't fathom.

Squiffy look at the task bar on your computer click on the wrench & screwdriver logo.
The box should open on screen there you will see plugins click there then follow pool 0 to the rt.

First of all, you need to run the Filters folder with Administrator rights SmartAVSrc64.ax >register filters<
In folder mdplugins copy as in Figure 1. It works great on Windows 10, and I made this video on Windows 11.

I'd already done that. Did it again, it's successful but makes no difference to my problem.
MDAPIhost just shows the log. I click on "Plugins" and it just shows "None found". I see no mention of "pool 0".
The vplug.dll is in the mdplugins folder.

I don't use vplug milan58 say you have to add a line in vplug.
Here use mdplug and powervu both work at this point don't know.

What line in vPlug? milan's post shows it all working fine, but I cannot see an instruction to do anything as such.
With MDAPIHost, all I see is this:

It wasn't a line to insert in his jpg. he shows a black box marked with a red 1 take a look and see if that helps.
I guess if you install another plugin to see if it shows up to narrow the issue down.

I see the black box in the image, but how would I evoke it?

He shows you what files he has in mdplugins, looks like you had a bad install or files in wrong folder.
Did you install in the plugins folder instead of mdplugins folder by error ?

No, as previously stated vplug is in the mdplugins folder, but it's simply not 'seen' by MDAPIHost

Why do you find it difficult to take pictures of what you have in the mdplugins folder? And in the first picture I showed how to set EMU in the mdplugins folder. Each EMU must have its own folder and then it will show in MDAPIHost>Plugins>Pool 0

I don't find it difficult at all, but I thought it was superfluous as all you'd see is what I've described. I think I have seen what's possibly wrong though...

Sorry folks, the answer was glaringly obvious but I missed it - I'd installed Win64 in the x86 folder by mistake, all working correctly now. Thanks for your time

OK. Then now in the folder of vplug2.46 delete the MDL file vhelper.mdl .Now vplug should show in MDAPIHost>Plugins>Pool 0 .vhelper.mdl is an old file from 2009 that Windows 10 does not recognize.
My recommendation is if you have the options to switch to Windows 11 this OS is much better and more stable, here I could also install Microsoft Office XP.

Now when restarting it doesn't see any plugins anymore while they are in seperate folders in mdplugins.

I saw in this thread that the problems was solved but can't load the pictures anymore that possibly explain how it was solved.

As I mentioned (albeit calling it Win64, I meant SmartDVBx64...), in my case I I'd installed the program in the x86 folder by mistake. So make sure you've not installed it into the Program Files (x86) folder.
