Suddenly my Sammy won't find any channels when scanning in manual or auto.
It works Ok on the channels in its database but even though I know there are channels on that frequency/settings and the signal strength is good it won't find any channels tv or radio
Any help would be much appreciated

Seems as though my database must have some how locked up the scanning.
Uploaded a new database and now scanning works ok :)

Sometimes it gets stupid and nothing works. Restart at the back - a few times, if necessary.

I even put in different original FW and still had problems. 124, 133 etc.

Eventually my Sammy managed to find it all, more or less... But it tested my patiennce - and I have some stamina in that regard...

Best thing to do with Sammy is if it finds it all by itself, because when you upload other people's channel list many won't work and you have to rescan manually anyway.

Plus some channels are always missing in other people's lists...

Having said that, however, we do thank for other people's hard work and willingness to share the fruits of their labour with us!!!:thum:

Good luck!

Too few channels on Hotbird

Regarding problems with scanning the channels, I have also experienced that. My problem is that my Samsung now only finds 524 channels on Hotbird. Before it used to find a lot more, but now for some strange reason it only finds 524. I have tried 3 times with the same result. I did a delete all channels first, and then an automatic scan. I also marked it to search all channels.

Anyone else with similar problems? Any solution?

Well it depends on what transponders you have for hotbird in your receiver. If you use original firmware it's transponder list is pretty much out of date. So you have to add transponders yourself or load someone's settings.

I forgot: it's tedious and time consuming: transponder by transponer needs to be added... or what R'n'R said...
