Sorry but there is no contact emails for the qviart/viark team. The best you hope for is if they read this thread. I would also think it might not be high on their priority list. I also think that the E2 side has not had an update for some time.

I installed that on my Dual, but I'm not happy. For eg., doing a search in Hispasat 30W I can'f find the Portuguse channles, only the Abertis... Even a with a blindscan, or specific TP's search...
Also the expiration date does not show up in the About section.
Since there was no server update, I'm going to stick with 1.10. (I was able to found the exactly 570 channles of 28.2.e on both firmwares).
Besides that, the only diference I've noted was that now there is some multistream options when adding tps manually (like PLS type, if root or gold, plus the PLS number).
Please, if anyone can test as well, I appreciate. Thx

Under blind scan on 28 east i found around 690 channels scanning with 1.11
30 west blind scan performance is also improved, so im not sure why you say it is no better than 1.10

Mine serial went wrong on the last update on 1.10 i think i need to reflash the original 5 software. I have not checked on this latest software 1.11.

Thats is a know issue, sometime a full power down reboot solve it. Its known to Qivart.

The amount of channels I get in 28.2e is great for me, since I'm from Portugal, a little out of the footprint (I can get the most part of Astra 2G and 2F, but no 2E — which is the same to say: no BBC). I just compared the two firmware in this aspect for the record.Yes is is a decent step forwards

Curiously, after a while turned on (and complete fresh installation) it decided to show up correctly.... (My first attempt was updating directly from 1.10 to 1.11 with performing resets before and after. Then I gave up and did everything from scratch: Original 5.0, Special, 1.11, with resettings in between).
The main problem is that with 1.11 the Dual can't find any Portuguese channels, whatever the search method I perform. More curiously, if I upload my previous channels backup, I have all the channels working... And then, doing a scan, it will find those channels...
It seams that sort of bugs that happens in these devices without explanation...

Yes, I noticed that, thx. I double-checked that even more because I have a 8x1 Diseqc connected, and need to select the proper lnb number to each satellite every time I reset it or flash a new firmware.
The truth is that I was only able to search for those services after load my own backup. With the default configurations I was not able to search for that services, although the settings were right and having signal, of course.

I turned my dish around to 30w tonight and did a full factory reset whilst on that satellite, i did a blind scan and only pulled in 50 channels on that sat. What's worse is that i deleted the channel list i had in the full reset and now i won't take my back up list or even load hedges channel list. Those lists are in the db extension. I've run out of time to play with it tonight.

Try watching an encrypted channel and then check the serial number.

I did notice that after the online update that I did that my serial number had come back.
I'd been running V1.11 for a few days so would have watched an encrypted channel, I've now gone back to 5.0, special then v1.11 and the serial number and expire date are both there.
I like to do this anyway and rescan as don't like loading a database backup which would reload some settings from the previous firmware version.
Option to save just channel list would be great.
This is because uploading the channel list also uploads the transponders instead of the incomplete factory transponder data.making a new search (blind or not) will bring the usual +350 Hispasat channels, not only the 50-60 with the raw installation of 1.11.
Therefore, uploading a complicated Feneki-style list is a good starting point.

In a "normal device" that would be logical and true, and then I would agree with you. However, in this case with the Dual it does not work like that (otherwise we wouldn't have a problem, since with a blind scan we would be able to pull in all the -in this situation- Hispasat channels). Because look, how could we explain the fact that with the raw 1.11 (without uploading any backup, nothing) even if you proceed with a blind scan, the device can only find 50-60 channels (in a total of +350)? Or worse, with the raw 1.11, if you insert one tp manually in the "Manual Search" menu, the device can't look or find signal. However, after uploading the backup, you can look for the exactly same individual tp's, do a blind scan and then, miraculously, it finds all channels.
