United will be looking to score their first Champions League win of the season against pointless Oțelul Galați this Tuesday or they face serious difficulties in qualifying for the knockout stages. Currently both Basle and Benfica sit above United with four points each, a situation about which Alex Ferguson will not be best pleased.
On paper, United should beat the Romanian champions with ease, but sending out a second string side could easily backfire as so far they have lost both of their games by only a single goal, so expect to see a number of the big guns, including probably Wayne Rooney. After his equaliser against Liverpool, Javier Hernandez will also be looking to make a start, and we're likely to see the European experience of Ryan Giggs playing a part.
Back to back victories will be wanted here, though United need not fret. The last time they started off with two draws United then put 11 past Brondby over 2 games and went on to win the competition.
