Im done for the day. I can go up to r11683 r798 and it installed fine. Rolls AU and found ECM keys but still dark screen. My box won't allow me to update further giving me error as in pictures below

1, don't forget to reboot after changing extended_cw_api
2, why does it install unnecessary utilities when all you have to do is replace the oscam binary file ?

Ok I have r11683 r798. Installed and working. Point me to the oscam binary to update? Dreambox DM800HDse

117xxx a virtual reader was added that downloaded the keys on the page, therefore the curl command is needed for these versions
The EMM algorithm for PV has not been updated for a long time, so if you don't need keys from github or iCam, the old version of oscam is enough

Can some kind person please point me to the icam V9 patch (i.e. the source code not a patched binary).

The highest I can find through search on the board is V8.

Oscam icam patch

That is oscam icam patch. Created by reverse enginnering (ghidra and debugger). And should come close to original patch

go here :
oscam, download & install file: enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11717-emu-r798_all.ipk.
it will install the proper oscam version for your chip type & config files.

How do I use softcam.key on oscam-icam?

do I need to install a new reader, or will the reader labelled "emu" find the softcam.key file automatically?

So I presume oscam automatically creates and adds the reader into oscam.server
