Hate Rapidshare

Is is possible for someone to upload these files to this site or upload them to somewhere other than rapidshare?

Also... any feedback as to how stable this image is?

thanks

first time i flashed this the recording crashed within about 2mins and the picture jerked like mad on the tv screen, i reflashed and it recorded things fine.

Think we'll have to wait for enigma1 for everything to work as it should.

Hi!
I just got myself an IPBbox 900HD and I was trying to configure it. The idea is that I want to set-up mgcamd emulator.
Is it necessary to use different image than the original one in order to configure this emulator?a friend recommand it me this image NLB, but I will try first the original image(in case I mess something up..)

In general can I connect via FTP using the original image to put the mgcamd inside(along with corresponding coniguration files->so far I did it like this for my DM500s)?ANd if so, can someone tell me which is the user/password for this(I guess user is stil"root").

For NLB installing is it necessary to use the nullmodem cable?
I saw as flash tools only something for IP9000-can this be used for 900HD as well?

Sorry for my ignorance:(

hello alexdelpiero,

I am not very old to IPbox myself, but i think I can help :

- NLB image is very good, I am using it and most of the time it is very stable,

- If you use NLB, you wont need to put the mgcamd inside, because it is already included in the image. you'll only have to put the config files, user/pwd is root/relook for original DGS and NLB images (i think they are different for ABCom images)

- nullmodem cable is not necessary, you can use a usb stick with the image on it. you'll have to rename it "usb_update.img". the you switch off the box from the back, you hold the front power button and you switch on again. you keep holding the front button till the box displays "usb upgrade", it will erase and reflash memory then. The operation may take several minutes.

Note this doesnt work with some usb sticks so you'll just have to try another one. And never never switch off the box while it is erasing or flashing

Once you install the NLB image the first time, you can then upgrade it using the webinterface and FTP. I noticed that it's faster.

- flashtools are the same for 9000 or 900

- PCeditor is very usefull tool, you can backup the database (channels, favorites, settings) and put them back after you change image. For HD boxes, you'll need ver. 1.2.46.

Thx!
Before reading this I have tried myself to use the SFteam addon for official image inserting hence the mgcamd(I have first transfer it too /tmp folder->usr/ass for original img is root/ipbox and than using the WEBIF I have instal it...but..).
When I assured that I have put all files where they belong..surprise..my remote did not work anymore:(

Strange is that from the front panel I manage to enter the channels and view them but remote is dead, probably after my add-on instal...On the fronmt panel I see the name iof cahnnel and near this in small letters:"t.s"->what's this meaning-has something to do with my dead remote connection?

I don't have an USB stick at the moment, so I would go with flash tool and null-modem..
So probbably I'll go with the new image instal...

Thing with the remote was a stupid mistake of mine:I just pressed TV by mistake from the remote:)
Now I returned to STB and works..but still my mgcamd does not work.

I have installed it and also putr the right config files.

Is there a special way to start it?Should a script be made(like fro DM500s?)?

And y the way anybody knows how to start the flash on RS232-I start the flash tool but nothing happens-should the IPbox be put in a special mode?(all tuorials are for USB...)

thx again to everyone

Manage afterall by myself to start mgcamd using telnet, but I saw that is started also by using green button on remote control...

Still remains the issue with RS23 flashing using null modem...for USB flashing it is stated that you should press power+ something to get the box into flashing mode.

Is the same for RS232?

Please help...
for the moment i stay with original image but I want NLB:(
so pitty i cannot find a how-to for dummies...

power button + "^" button on the box takes you to the flashing option, have nlb image renamed to usb_update.img and put it on a usb pen, it will then flash the box.

problem is like I said in my last posts that i don't have a usb pen and I'm trying the serial method for flashing->the one using null-modem cable and RS232 interface....

Comm'on, has nobody tried this? The flash tool v1.0.2 has this option....?

@alexdelpiero
To enter serial upgrade method during boot press power+">" key.
Be aware that this method s extremely slow, due to low speed of serial connections - 10-15 KB/s. Better go buy a USB stick - 2GB worth around 6 EUR.
