Well neutrino is very stable. And sharing works fine, at least as cccam client, haven't tried any other.

Yes I do own it.
HD picture quality is good, although I am not best person to judge that, I usually can't tell difference in picture quality unless it is a big one.
Mgcamd works great with cccam 2.1.1 and older versions, pretty much as good as on dreambox with original cccam.
When connected to 2.1.2 it has occasional freezes but it is still watchable, and I assume those will be taken care of in new mgcamd releases.

Does mgcamd also still work with gbox? Can it be configured to work with CCcam, gbox, and newcamd at the same time?

What are the major bugs you have noticed in it currently?

Thanks

It it is the same as any other mgcamd versions with just cccam support extra. So yes it can work with gbox, newcamd and all at the same time if needed. I haven't tested though but I imagine it works fine.

Don't know if you mean bugs with mgcamd or generally with the box. I haven't noticed any special bugs with mgcamd.

Big missing for me is there is no ability to play media files like avi,mkv etc, it only plays ts atm. But from what I read on some German board mediaplayer is under development, I assume they are aware of how needed that is.

Satellite finder part of neutrino seems strange to me, don't know if I'd manage to store motorised dish positions if I didn't have usals. There is no indication if signal is locked or not when you are moving the dish.
But with usals I had no problems.

Timeshift I only tried briefly and with usb stick but it seems to work pretty good.
Scheduled recordings also work fine.

My Coolstream does not read my C+ Nordic card as I thougt it should, but it is a very stable box.
When new software and plugins been developed I think this will be a realy good HD box.

Thanks mate for the feedback. In fact I was inquiring about the bugs within the box itself not mgcamd. What I would be concerned with is if there were any hardware problems (Overheating, bad network performance, bad HD picture, low tuner sensitivity, ...)

From the software point of view this box seems to be doing just fine, with good support.

1 more thing I would like to know, is the quality of SD picture on an HD display.

Thanks again mate

Cheers

Certainly no overheating issues. It has a nice feature of setting CPU fan speed from 1 to 14. I keep it and 1 to keep the noise to minimum and it still has no problems with overheating. From what I read new revisions will have less noisy fan. One I got makes very little noise with speed set at 1. But when set to 2 and higher speeds it does make quite a noise. I guess that's what they will address with new revisions.

Think tuner could be be more sensitive. But I am not sure about that I am only judging on one transponder at 28.2 which on ipbox I could get a lock on in the mornings and up until 15:00 or so. After that signal goes down beyond reception.
I can't get that transponder at all with coolstream, at least not good enough signal to get picture.
But I'll have to check that TP again with ipbox as I haven't hooked it up for some time now. For all I know that TP could be gone on ipbox now as well.
All other channels I get fine. It has no problems with low SR transponders as some boxes do.

Again picture quality I'll let someone else comment on. Even though my eye sight is fine I don't have a good eye to pass judgment on picture quality.

In hardware terms it uses hdmi1.3 which does seem to have some advantages over older versions:

EDIT:
Forgot to mention one issue. There isn't an option to put the box to deep stand by or shutdown atm. Even though it is mentioned in the menu.
So the only option is to leave it in stand by but then clock is on display and fan is still spinning at minimum possible speeed.
I've got a reply to my email about that issue from Coolstream guys and they say they say they are "working on it and that it will be available for sure in the future".

Hi, been reading this thread for a while, but still have some questions. I am wondering, is it possible to share DRE-crypt module+card in CS HD1 common interface. I understand from somewhere, that Platforma HD can be shared with MPCS, latest CCcam 2.1.3, OScam. Not sure about NewCS. And card must be in tuner for AU, if card in computer then no AU.
Can I run any of this emus on Coolstream? Any other emus? Or work-arounds?

Thanx in advance
