Neotion Team responds to my email´s

After i´ve sent some email´s to Neotion, finally i got an answer....but nothing new.

This was the mail i sent...

I´m a long time costumer from Neotion products, but every day that passes by i´m reaching a conclusion: the Neotion 501 is becoming absolete(...) it´s a receiver with a lot of capabilities, but to achieve the maximum of what Neotionbox is capable we need some support.

The Neotionbox 501 21T18 (latest version for Neotion 501, dates from September of 2005).

firmware issue:

-Very unstable firmware, it freezes constantly.
-Changing channels are slower with 21T18 than with 21T17

1.Is it possible to release a new firmware version to correct this problems?

Neotion 501 USB

1. Is it possible to transform the USB 1.1 to 2.0?
2. Is it possible to release a Neotion USB Driver compatible for DVB PC software like ProgDVB ; FastSatFinder, etc?

Neotion 501 Card reader

1. Is it capable of reading latest official providers cards like Nagravision 3 / etc which are not paired with providers receivers?

Neotion 501 HDTV

1. Is Neotion 501 capable of receiving HDTV DVB-S2/MPEG-4 channels?

Dear sir,

We are sorry but Neotion won't develop new firmware for this receiver.
Concerning MPEG4 and HDTV, you will have to remove the smartcard reader and replace it by a CI cartdrige containing a common interface in order to use MPEG4 PCMCIA module.

NB 501 can´t open HDTV canals ( you can only record with winclip HDTV Canals and than see you the canals in SD Quality on your Records)

NB 501 don´t work with PrgDVB !
NB 501 works perfect with Winclip



you see only...Neotion don´t supported the Neotion Box

Spending (i dont know for sure) +-70€ for a HDTV module in a receiver that will never have firmware support from Neotion, i dont find any future from this receiver..

The receiver have big dark letter´s saying "Neotion Cartridge/Infocast Services/Neotion Video Link Digital Record / MPEG4 AVC", all of us who have Neotion´s when we bought this receiver..we thougth that Neotion Box will have a great future with this features, but now:

-Infocast services..dont work.
-Neotion Cartridge..the latest update was from 2005, completely outdated.
-Neotion Video Link Record..it works, but very very limited software.
-MPEG4 AVC..expensive/hard to find module

Neotion killed Neotion Box.

I´ve sent again a email, complaining about these situation..but i dont think that this time i will have an answer.
