MENU > USB/External Device > OK Button >FTP > OK Button
Press Green Button ( Go To File Manager )
scroll down to Phantompatch-TM5402-M3-22-08-2016-146.stb
PRESS OK > Select YES at prompt
Wait for File to get to full 100%
Wait more BOX Will Reboot ....Few moments wait for CAM Initialize ....
leave on Kabelio Channel 2-3 mins
IF You do not see Phantompatch-TM5402-M3-22-08-2016-146.stb but just .Zip
Then you did not extract the .Zip patch file in to your USB with the correct file format to use again try-with- WinZip or 7 Zip
Report Back here when you see pictures or if need help i am here now sorry for long delay in reply .

You then can easily confirm you have loaded Patch correctly by Going To Menu scroll down to > System Information
on right side of screen it should read ...

SW Version : 1.46p ( Aug 22 2016 )
H/W Version 1.00
Boot Version: 3.00
CH Version: F022
And have below ...CAS MENU And BISS MENU
BUT THESE Are not Important to you however its just S/W Version you are interested in seeing .

I'm going crazy here, every time I select phantompatch and press OK, nothing happens. But I just noticed that there isn't a ".stb" at the end of the phantompatch. I'll keep trying! Please don't apologise for long delay in replying, I'm grateful however long I have to wait

yes before putting the file to USB you need use a laptop or PC
and open the Phantompatch-TM5402-M3-22-08-2016-146.zip
You need to open with WinZip or 7Zip which are Free Windows apps that require no sign ups or nonsense
Once you get Patch file open with WinZip or 7Zip Simply drag out the Phantompatch-TM5402-M3-22-08-2016-146.stb
( It is inside the .Zip Folder )
To your USB Stick and then remove/delete the .ZIP
Try again it will take a wee bit of Patience and slight tedious effort but once its done you'll have patch loaded in 2 mins tops i feel .

Ooh crikey, it's not even showing .zip!! It's actually ending with 146p!!! How have I managed that?! I downloaded 7Zip as the name rang a bell from when William was helping us 10 years ago. I couldn't remember how to use it but I dragged the downloaded file into 7zip and extracted it. I'm going to fire up my laptop and try again
We're watching Prince on BBC4 performing our favourite "Little Red Corvette " what perfect timing. I gave husband the remote so he could investigate the channels while I wrote to tell you the good news so I've had a huge grin for a good few minutes.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us find our way. I've had a smile on my face since the picture appeared (I actually missed it as I was double checking the instructions haha). I will be back tomorrow with "how I did it" for those who are looking into using Kabelio on their Technomate who, like me, don't know what they are doing. I got it wrong with 7zip but once I got the right file extension, we loaded the patch and within one minute of the reboot we struck gold. Now it's time to eat - lunch and dinner haha. (I'm still smiling)

So your CAM Module began working once you Patched your Technomate box ?? Very nice !!
i am delighted if so i use 13E a lot as i see a good majority via other means but Kabelio is indeed the most desired pity they did not offer those FREE a lot less headache if so , but Stock Firmware would never in my experience be good enough
you are never maximizing for box's true potential if you do not loading this Software .
perhaps you can perform a full Scan eventually and find even some very nice FREE TO Air English speaking channels
there is a few that do air decent films in English Free with Dubbed Subtitles also : )
There is a very vast number of channels on 13E not only Kabelio to investigate in future too .

I thought they were set up for 27w before so would of used biss and been patched but I'm probably wrong lol

Does not appear to be the case and could well have been a proper very old Phantom Patch ,
it all pointed very much to box not having at least a recent Patch to be fair
even tho' TMate did suddenly stop supporting all their boxes many moons ago

Yes I did advise other day in pm to update patch tbh.
We did have exactly that but hadn't needed the biss keys for years and i don't remember when we last did a patch - certainly not since I've been using my current laptop as I didn't have 7zip or winzip on it and I got it in 2016!
We had another late night, we were so pleased. Went to bed still smiling, got up for a call of nature and hubby asked me how I got the first patch wrong. I don't really know where I went wrong but I did my best to explain. Talked about it as soon as we got up and then we put the TV and technomate box on, saw the "initializing CAM" message and then the dreaded "scrambled". Aaaaagh! There were several expletives before the the picture magically appeared. We'd continually seen the scrambled message for so long following the CAM insertion that we were filled with dread. Now we know what to expect but if you you don't know and you're going to get Kabelio - be warned. If you're reading this and know what we went through then you know that patience is not our virtue and we expected it to turn on instantly haha
