IPbox 900HD & Diseqc 1.2

Hello Guys,

You are all doing a GREAT job with these Linux boxes - so I must first of all thank you for that. I am wondering whether anyone can help me with my IPBOX 900HD - DISEQC 1.2 Motor setup. I am using the Motec SG2100 and have disabled USALS because it is now working accurately with my satellite coordinates for my location. Using Diseqc 1.2, I tune in Hotbird and Astra 28.3 but when I am tuned to channels on Hotbird - and I then select an Astra channel, eg. BBC HD - the box does not move the dish automatically from Hotbird to Astra 28.3 as it should. This happens even though the Satellite positions have been manually tuned in and saved. My other technomate box 5200DACi does moves my dish via the SG2100 motor automatically. What am I doing wrong with my IPBOX 900HD setup?

diseqc 1.2 dgs still have to look in to...image bug.....
usals working fine with out a problem.....

usals dosent work for you cos your dish set up not properly or you enter lat or long coordinaters worng....

I will switch to USALS mode and disable Diseqc 1.2 mode. Why does manual tune work for all satellites and USALS fail. My Latitude & Longitude were input correctly to the nearest 1/100 of a degree or to the best resolution of 1 degree that the box allows - I am beginning to think that USALS is not the best solution and Diseqc 1.2 is better because it makes allowance for mis-calibration in the USALS software. However - I will have another go at usals and will adjust my coordinates to get the signal. I do have satnav will EXACT coordinates for my location - I had used multimap and my precise Zoomed in postcode. I will let y'all know how I get on.

if there was a bug or usals fails you will see lot of reports all over on forums i have 9000 and 900 newer give me this problems....and usals better then the diseqc1.2......cos if you made a mistake and reset all db file or you go back to factory setting with diseqc 1.2 you have to tune all sat's manualy but on usals just go to setting enter the cordinaters you there much easy and clean,,,,

also pls can you tell me what image are you use????

Using what I think is latest Sifteam image - R7927 boot version June 26 2008 - 14:58:15, DB Version R7327. Micom Ver. 08.04.02.

All works fine including Mgcamd plugin plus many other plugins. If manual tuning works for all satellites in Diseqc 1.2 then I see no reason for USALS to fail. I will reset to default and re-try. Image is Sifteam latest image installed on top of NLB image. 250GB HD ESata + Internet and Flashfxp setup. Everything works except Diseqc and I have tried Usals but did not work properly - what the heck is wrong with this box?

Iś sorry, but in actual versions AB IPBox 900/9000HD doesn´t supported DiSEqC 1.2 motor control. Please use USALS system for motor conrol.

Exactly so - from the horses' mouth - what they are saying is that Diseqc 1.2 is not supported on 900/9000HD products currently. They could be taken to the cleaners for not correctly advertising these products. It is stated Clearly - in all their adverts and the Manuals that Diseqc 1.2 is supported - but in reality this is a NO NO ???!!!!!
Leaves a bad taste in the mouth and sours the deal. Come clean with the facts ABCOM.

so i all reay told you will not work....usals will work your problem your dish not setup properly that's all.....

they al lready busy working on enigma and futures it's supports or not i dont care usals working fine and so... no problems ......

you upset cos you know how to turn the dish manual only if you use the usals you will see how much better then the diseqc1.2 beleive me....

Loaded 1.5.x Sifteam's latest image - offset my position from 0.9W to 5.0E and USALS worked on three satellites( Astra 28, 19 & Hotbird 13). Selected Diseqc 1.2 and manually tuned in Sirius @5deg E and also Atlantic 2D @5 deg W. All saved and working now and I'm a happy bonny.
