How to consistently get Horse Racing feeds?

Hi all,

I'm looking into the possibility of trading horse racing in-play, and need the fastest possible video from the tracks.

I notice the feeds get posted on here quite regularly, but my question is - how do I consistently find the latest horse racing feeds myself?

As I am in the UK, I assume I will be mainly limited to receiving pictures from UK racecourses - which is fine. Does anyone know of any way of receiving fast pictures from USA Horse Racing tracks?

Any help including what equipment I will need to consistently get these feeds would be very useful.

Thanks,
Rob

Have sent u a DM.

UK track feeds have largely all gone to fibre and dont exist.

There are v few left, and I mean, v few from Ireland/France/Germany.

USA feeds need a dish able to access 100W - which wont happen from the UK.

So, u need a dish in the USA - or maybe somewhere close.

Hi everyone, apologies if this is in the wrong place. As the title states I'm a complete newbie to the world of satellite streaming (as in I have no equipment and have only recently learnt of how it can benefit me). If I'm honest I know very little so I'm hoping somebody here can lend a bit of advice before I go spending a small fortune haha.

I am looking to do some in-play trading, I've had a little muck around using betfair live streams but the pictures are dreadful. I was told by an installer that traders use 'outside broadcast streams' to get quicker and better quality live pictures, this would be especially helpful as sky seemingly has a 6 second or more latency issue.

Does anyone here use a motorized satellite to get images such as these and how easy are they to get hold of in a website such as this?

Thank you :)

Hi my apologies. I realise this is a very old thread but I was unable to DM you. Can you tell me please, whether it is still the case that getting UK horse racing outside broadcasts are virtually impossible?
I was hoping to get faster streams from the races shown on Sky specifically as there's a massive latency issue on their races.

Thank you in advance.

Virtually impossible.

UK and IRE satellite feeds are rarely available and when they are you will get shafted by the drone men who have pictures that are a lot faster in terms of picture speed useful for in play horse trading.
My advice, get a subscription to one of the drone services and save on the cost and learning curve of installing motorised satellite.

For drone picture suppliers, check out *******, Facebook and Twitter, there are bound to be offerings on there.

I have access to drone footage if needed but the technique I'm wanting to use isn't really about laying in the final stretch which is what most the footage seems to be aimed at mate. I'll probably just stick to getting Freesat installed then and use racingtv. Thanks for the heads up.

The only regular satellite feeds for UK racing are the weekly ITV Racing feeds. Other than that, Meydan and Jebel are on satellite when in season. Some of the ITV Racing meetings will be from tracks hosted by Sky Racing.
There used to be French meetings on satellite almost daily but mainly trots and provincial gaffs that often do not have betfair markets. I have not checked lately so they might still be there.

Now and again, but not on any regular basis, there are feeds on 3.0W from UK tracks. However, you need at least a 1.2m dish to get a reasonable chance of locking the signal. The 3.0W satellite is generally difficult to receive at a UK location with anything less than a 1.2m dish. These are few in number though and probably do not justify setting up satellite equipment for them.

I appreciate everyone responding, it's kind of made my mind up in regards to simply getting Freesat and a cheaper set up.

Does tennis have a similar issue do you know? I realise courtsiding is an even bigger issue in that sport haha.

@moonbase Have you got any info if this still works in football too ? I've heard it's still possible with Iraq, Egypt,Tunisia, Iran ect ect leagues, ofc if you find the right bookmaker to bet on. In Albania there are 100% people doing it and i'm trying to figure out how. Actually it doesn't matter what sport, for as long as the bet get's accepted. Like @Rea_ctor said, i've heard tennis has problems too, or at least it had 1-2 years ago

What would be the right equipment to be able to get fast feeds ? Maximum i've been able to get is like 5-6 seconds, but still not enough to get the bet accepted. I'm spending hours and hours everyday checking as many feeds as i can, to be able to get the experince i need in this, but 5-6 seconds is the best result. I have a 1.2m dish, which means i'm missing many feeds especially from 7e 10e 21.5e (30.5 would be good too but it's impossible to get from Albania), also using Zgemma H5.2S+ which compared to AX HD51 or Octagon SF8008 is not that fast, so maybe getting the right equipment will give me one more second in advantage, but i haven't tried this so i'm not sure.

Should i go for 4:2:2 feeds aswell ? Can they be fast feeds by any chance ? I've chacked a couple but not very good results. Any information would help a lot

Thank you !

There is plenty of information on this forum about feeds, dish sizes and receivers. I suggest you search the forum and read some of the topics to get a better understanding.
I have already provided you with information in the other topic. I do not plan to add to that here.

Drone pictures are utterly worthless in m opinion. Anybody can get them and it equates to 100 ferrets trying to get a piece of a single pork pie.
The only way you will make money betting In Running is to have a worthwhile pre race view.

Hi mate I am based in Cyprus and have a 2.8m dish here can get all the feeds from 7e at 1-2 second delay. However I have not tried any 4:2:2 feeds as my box does not play them do you know how I can get these to run? Im happy for any advice you may need regarding delay.

Cheltenham Festival this week, should be satellite feeds up for this meeting?
There could well be loads of lemmings jumping off cliffs, ferrets choking on pork pies and drones nosediving into locals gardens if some of the trainers run out of magic carrots !!

Good luck to all with your betting/trading.

Hi, do you know any "free" iptv url that broadcast Cheltenham Festival? I was looking for a "feed" for RacingTV, but I am not able to find one.
