Hi everyone
I started about 15 years ago with a secondhand Monterey Chaparell swapped for secondhand PC (what a good deal I got) 1 metre motorised system for next to nothing....complete with videocrypt S*Y decoder.
installed it myself and added nokia 3002 mac decoder and a philips videopass, and had lots of fun chasing the codes for the wafer cards. (not that I could do it by myself).
The Monterey was upgraded to a Echostar 3000ip, when they first came out.
Budget and time meant that I gave up about 5 years ago :mecry:, not completely but code chasing etc. I actualy installed a S*Y (freesat) digibox at about that time and have been watching FTA since.
I am now retired and starting up again with the hobby, and looking to buy some new kit.
