Help Needed

Hi all, having just purchased a 9000HD, lm having a nightmare setting it up my, problem is as follows.

If l put my AV setting to 1080i all is fine on my TV in my living room but when l try to watch channels in another room, as l have modulators set up for the rest of my home they do not work for the sat receiver, l only get audio, l have my SCART output to RGB and TV set to 1080i, so to be able to watch channels in other rooms l must put my TV settings to standard pal TV on the box and l can then see channels in the rest of my home but my HDMI will not work on my 9000HD telling me mode not supported on my TV is there a way of setting the SCART as so that l can us the HDMI cable for the living room and standard output for the SCART connection for my modulator.

Correct me if I’m wrong but l am only getting standard picture if l am not able to use the HDMI cable on my main TV.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi rpok ..
I doubt if you can drive 2 video formats at the same time ..particularly if you activate the hdmi out (ie plug it in your tv) ..
I suspect there is a handshake sequence which probably tells the box that a device is connected to hdmi ..and thus disable composite or rgb out..
This definately happens on my Humax HDCI2000 ..
In order to get anything out from the composite phono or scart ..I have to unplug the hdmi..
Sorry m8 but I doubt what you want to do is possible..

l think you are correct, l have just been reading up on the same thing, bummer. it wouldnt be so bad if l could just unplug the HDMI lead but l think l need to have the box set to 1080i to get the HDMI cable to work and then the SCART will not work unless l put my box back to standard TV.

I could use a little help. Just received my ip box 9000hd and cannot get a picture through the hdmi port all i get is a very jumpy picture that will not stabalize i have tried all settings 720p/1080i etc with no luck, if i reboot it comes on clear but as soon as i change chanel or enter a menue it starts to jump and flicker. The only way i get a watchable picture is through the scart connection which kind of defeats the object of having a hd receiver, any help apreciated regards.

Humm.

I was getting the same problem on mine with some of the sif team images.
Changed to powerboard and all went away and all is working well now.
Try other images and see how you get on m8.

Tried just about every image i can find, currently 7043 0.9 dated today and slill the same A last cry for help before i send it back.

Found the problem, not the box but the tv, Conected to another tv all worked fine.
I cannot understand why as i have a high definition media player and an eycos sat receiver both connected and working fine, maybe because i am using hdmi to to dvi converter cable and it doesent like it.
Well at least i know it is not the receiver even though i cant watch it on my big plasma.
