I am planning to get a new receiver to replace my ClarkeTech 2100+ which has served me well over the years and is still working :)

I am looking for a receiver that:-

1. is as easy to update and customise the same way as the CT 2100+
2. i can use diablo cam with
3. firmware and channel setting is easily updated like the CT 2100+
4. possibility to view HD channels
5. can use PVR (not a must though)
6. nice interface

pls send in your recommendations. thank you.:thum:

also anyone want to have my CT 2100+? device is clean like new, working and in good condition. contact me on PM :nana:

Hi bj

the T/mate 6900 which drahcirk03 was looking in to is the same (I think!) as the clarke 5000 infact I think the clarke 5000 is a clone of the t 6900!. The clarke has the same features as the t 6900 but the clarke is cheaper and better looking. So if your keen on purchasing it then don't hold back :)

A few others you could look in to are the

fortec hd passion (don't think it's patchable at the mo but not neeed as you got a diablo), M-vision 200, Humax HDCI-2000. If you've got cash to splash have a look at the dreambox dm800 (will sort all your needs)

thanks netingit...still looking out for the receiver. I need to find somewhere to view the interface of all those receivers you mentioned. CTech's is kind of boring after so many years owning it and quite amazed with the interface on Vantage HDs

Suggestion

You can try Viewsat Receivers. I heard it is easy to upgrade by USB cable. The only thing, I am not shure, where to get upgrade files. You can search in the internet. Viewsat Ultra(Not Clone) is very good for MPEG 2. If you need HD channels, you can get HD receiver with USB.

dude if you got the money go for the dm 8000/or the dm 800 but the dm 800 no cam slot soon may the only way to go .
i got the tm 6900 super combo and it good but fot cs it only runs newcamd not that good on the tm 6900 at the monment it better if you look into the future as soon even the cams are going to be history/ now you only have to look at the diablo wifi and you see that cs is the next step good luck mate:thum:
