The GTMedia Combo will do the VIP package in Europe no other box as i type does this.

Maybe this is what the software update is for.

STARSAT SR-200HD Extreme 4K also does VIP but as u say not possible to buy in Europe sadly
but a friend of mine has this box and he has VIP Sub on it also so probably he can get Sky IT too .

Wait and see what actually happens is my advice, your V8 UHD is said to be capable of IT.

Why waste money.

Seems there might be 2 different VIP options.

VIP (Sky IT) and AF-VIP (Bein)

At the moment NO not until at least you receive S/W Update and Apollo IM 1.47
At this time it is not certain IF or When new S/W will be issued !

Some software has already been released for certain Starsat boxes so surely its a matter of WHEN and not IF.

Only Starsat X77 got the 147 update since it's also an Amlogic chip receiver (every Amlogic receiver got the 147 because they are the new generation of Chinese Forever boxes, they always release newer firmwares on these devices first)

The other Starsat boxes (that come with Ali chip or Hisilicon chip) still got no new update just like Viark, GTMedia and other companies...

Hi there

I recently purchased a GTMedia V9 and quickly loaded a Mars_V9_Prime_V1.11.15916_20022025.bin (along with a backdoor.key obtained from a stock FW zip), the box ID showed up in Menu>Settings>About STB

I then subscribed to a 3-month plan Mars AF-VIP and my activation literally went live as seen below, but all no luck with decrypting the channels no matter how I rebooted the unit, do I need to set up anything else in Menu ? How do I know status of Mars server activation from device's end ? what's cline ? should I request a cccam.cfg file or something from a Mars supplier ?
