Description:
This is the Dreambox "DigiTemp" plugin, that can measure temperatures on the serial port.
"DigiTemp" is an well known free to use application available on both Windows and Linux platforms.
Now it is possible to install DigiTemp as a plugin on the Dreambox too.
Digitemp can control a number of temperature measuring sensors connected to the serial port.
All you need is a 9-pin d-sub connector, telephone cable (4 wired), and one or more temperature sensors (up to 100 sensors possible!) and a few more components.
It's not very expensive and not particular difficult to build the required hardware.
With DigiTemp on your Dreambox (and the required hw connected to the the serial-port) you can easily check the current temperatures in your home and maybe outside too. Just start the plugin with your remote and in one second the temperatures are shown on your TV-screen.
