Chat RSI Image based on OpenPLI, named OpenRSI

I was streaming on it for a few days now and I get the box to hang every so often, for no reason...

Upgraded online and this kind of behaviour, most of the time, after every few films...

Quite a few films are just stopping the box completely, sadly...

A nasty bug: after a standby - in my HDMI setup - a tremendous flickering of the image. Unusable and not possible to remedy. Reboot a must!

And how many times did this thing happen on this box and it is still going on...

Oh, yes: Flash Expander unusable on this image - green screens of death all the time, not possible to activate it...

I'm still not convinced. this image should not be used without a proper change log. it may leads to damage our boxes !

I don't think it will, though - but it is a bit of a stab in the dark, so really - I think I'm going back to 1.7.0...

Serjoga, please return the bits that are not just chat but giving feedback to the authors, some of whom are in this very thread...

You know, when one finds a bug, like I did - you tell it to the authors, so it can be sorted out/corrected...

Decent authors not only encourage it but ask and insist on it...

So, we try to do our bit and help out...

Ergo, return those parts, please...

Unfortunately, neither RTI nor the RSI can not fix the DVB driver from Opensat.
All of the latest version based on this driver.
And all have the same problem.

Sergik, it seems OpenPLi are moving in the right direction, sorting out these things, one by one... We hope...:mecry:

But what about the announced new kernel compatible with OpenPLi images, by none other than The_Ripper himself? No sign of it for a long time now, sadly... Any news?

As for OpenPLi GIT, I hear it's incomplete and with various bugs and mistakes, so needs some re-thinking...

Moreover, theirs is not the standard E2 file structure, which makes things doubly difficult...

Btw, do not use the new JaZup for this one... a bug...

Now it doesn't allow me to choose if I want to continue playing an A-V file from a point I left off last time, in Media Player, while streaming.

Normally, it should ask you if you want to continue or start from the beginning - but it doesn't give me the option...

Well, for sure, I am going back to RTi 1.7.0 now...
