hi guys i am new to this i have a patched technomate 1000ci and am currently using a sky dish with a golden interstar lnb, i have a 1m dish but havent mounted it yet so am using the sky dish on a patio set up. i am using a sat finder to locate hotbird but every time i do , i go back inside the box doesent recive a signal!!! the technomate set up menu seems to have a sat finder which sits at 25% even if the box is not pluged in to an lnb? it does this when universal lnb is selected if you select single it has no signal!!! should it be single?also am i too close to houses, fences ,etc? lastly how do you know how far back to tilt the dish? is there a max or min? thanks very much for your help anybody. i am just experimenting just now i am skint after christmas but have a deffo few pound coming my way very soon and am gonna buy a motorised set up as i want to get footie on thor but also bits of other sats,i am looking for suggestions,, does anyone know if there is a shop in central scotland who i can go to ? cheers any advice on this please:):thum::)

single lnb at this C Range.
You must set freq. of LNB 9750 - 10600 (this is universal)
And write what your country (where are you live)!!!
And may be you will get help :)

Hi, you will find hotbird is to the right of astra2 and the dish will have a higher elevation as 28e is lower than 13e, an easy way would be to find a frequency on 19e(Astra1)and 28e(Astra2)as well as hotbird and work your way west, storing the channels as you go. Hope that gives you some ideas to work with.

I'm no expert yet... But the first setup I bought took a long time to get working. I thought it was broken. Hang in there and follow these guys advice. You'll get there
