18:40:08.605: PMT: ACamd_PMT.txt, search, not found PMT=0020 (AND SID=0001)
18:40:08.605: P: 2600:00000000

Works with any other CAID

I wonder which server you try to connect to that is sharing biss keys.
I doubt there is any biss server anywhere, still when I see your server is local, nor that any emulator is written in a way it opens a port to connect anywhere when CA id 2600 is present in PMT/CAT.
This might be the reason why you do not see the emu trying to connect anywhere, but looking in PMT

The way biss works is with valid keys inserted in softcam.key file.
have you tried that?

What type of setup you use?

Thanks for your reply.

I think you just confirmed my frustration. What I was hoping to do was host the SofCam.key file on an OSCAM server that sits on a linux PC. Then be able to share it with all boxes on my LAN.

I can use the SoftCam.Key file (it does work) on each box by uploading with USB.

Anyway, looks like I'm stuck with the USB.

if your pc is running anyway you can also use vplugserver or fausto to share keys

Oscam's biss handling was re-written more than a year, and some thought was put in to network sharing. I helped write it, so you can trust this advice:

1. The biss CAS has no ecm, but oscam creates a *fake* ecm on channel change. That fake ecm only weakly identified the feed, meaning network shares would likely return bad Cws from poorly matched feed <-> SoftCam.Key lookup.

2. This fake ecm was enhanced so as to better identify the feed: the enigma2 namespace was added so as to include orbital position, onid & tsid, alongside sid & A/V pids.

Thus, if your clients are *enigma2* boxes (or properly inject namespace etc into the CA_PMT), then all is fine having one central server / keyfile, with oscam-emu on the clients. But you *must* use the namespace hashes in your SoftCam.Key, as the legacy/weaker fake ecm matches are ignored for all network ecms.

Thanks guys, the knowledge and support in this forum is amazing.

I now have the OSCAM dvb-api setup on my PC setup with DVB-DREAM. Looks like i need to update my set top boxes (What a shame!!)

I recommend you study the oscam-emu wiki. You'll want to set up the emu reader's Basic Config as per that wiki too.

To repeat: use current oscam-emu on your enigma2 clients, and on your server always enter the key tagged with the highest priority (namespace) hash so as to optimally identify key with feed.
