The most powerful wide-beam satellite to ever orbit at 19.2 degrees East, ASTRA 1P, will ensure superior reliability while delivering unparalleled image quality for broadcasters and content owners across some of SES’s largest TV markets in Germany, Spain, and France. Estimated launch this evening at 8.35 p.m.

Due to ongoing unfavorable weather at the launch and recovery sites, now targeting Thursday, June 20 for Falcon 9’s launch of the @SES_Satellites ASTRA 1P mission from Florida. The ~3-hour window opens at 5:35 p.m. ET

Moving to final destination 1 degrees by day after testing on 9.5°W now it is around 7°W it will replace Astra 1KR, Astra 1L, Astra 1M, and Astra 1N @19.2E in january
