I have a problem which isn't being replied to in the correct section. Hopefully someone here in the PC section might have an answer. I have bought several boxes, EL 3020 ir plus but some people have new laptops which don't have the rs232 cable so I am trying to use a USB to rs232 adaptor and am now getting a target connect error with ASH shown on the display.
I can use my older laptop with the rs232 cable and it works fine and the message disappears. I've downloaded the patch for the ON/ASH problem but it still does the same.
Port settings, baud rate etc etc are correct and match the alimupg55 program settings. I'm hoping this is a more common problem with these USB adaptors and not specific to these boxes which is why I'm asking here as it might affect other boxes too.
