yes it works in the same way on any E2 box that has hdmi-in, and they all have the same 720p60 limitation too.

looks like you are feeding it with a 2160p signal. 720p60 is the hdmi-in res, it can't be changed, although it will accept a 1080p50 signal and show it full screen any recording will be 720p60 but if you give it a 2160p signal then you get the wrong coloured box in the top left that you have.

I assume AF-VIP = Africa VIP channels and therefore you have subscribed to Bein channels (7w/8w) and not the IT channels, which requires just the VIP package (1st in list). IIRC you might have to scan in the 8w channels, as 7w before they will open.

V8 UHD was last updated in Feb this year. Try turning off LCN option in the settings and then channels numbers might be normal again

Seems there might be 2 different VIP options. VIP (Sky IT) and AF-VIP (Bein)

It does appear that VIP is an option on the V8 UHD.

Mine has always been connected to a vpn (via the router) since day one, but I don't remember what vpn I was using back when it was eligible for VIP, all I know is since I have been using UK vpn's it now reports it is in Europe, so VIP isn't an option.

In the past my Viark Sat4K was eligible for VIP, but since then it has changed to being detected as being used in Europe. So the VPN "might" work, but I don't know how long it has to be connected to a VPN that isn't classed as in Europe for, before it is detected as not in Europe.

The audio codec issues on the Ultimo4K and Duo4KSE have been fixed with a workaround in E2.
