Well they're not local, but the only people I can find online who supply mesh dishes are RF Hamdesign in the Netherlands. Going through their price list now. Dish price seems reasonable but once you add in all the gubbings (controller, motor etc) I think you've not got much change out of 5k...

Techincally you need planning for anything over 130cm if the building is over 15m high (rules are stricter for shorter buildings) but planning is only a problem if someone complains. My old dish was up for more than 4 years and after that you have default permission. Location is semi-industrial...

Nice. Thanks. I did start by googling, before posting on here, and Chinese made dishes on AliExpress came up. I was a bit wary because the prices are so much cheaper than US or European suppliers, but I’ll take the risk.

Anyone know where I can best get a 3m mesh dish in the UK? Need to replace a solid dish that was destroyed in a storm a while ago. Dish is on the roof of an office building. I've managed to convince the maintenance people that a mesh dish will be safer.
