I really hope new TM will not be enigma2 or android! Really!!
Closed source is the best choice in my opinion, obviously if the firmware is good enough.
No problem if it is not combo (it would be just an option), I would be happy in such 4K enabled 5402 M4, maybe adding the chance to download/upload settings via USB and editing them with a specific computer editor.

It won't be E2 for sure, single and twin 4K.
Q4 at earliest been bandied about.
I agree @kippysat @Ferret they only released this FS patch to keep brand name in the mix, who knows how long FS will last this time?

This is a must having a decent channel editor and could give it an edge over the Viarks and others that don't, i won't hold me breath on this though.

Both Viark and GtMedia are working on channels editors.

Hopefully they come up with a good one.

There is a company that does individual sdx editors. Anyone serious can purchase easy enough, there are many many different sdx versions.
Setedit will probably make one. Can contact the author and ask

Manic's already said it won't be a combo, presume it will be enigma 2 but that would mean no FS on the box maybe ? I wasn't keen on the Viark box when i tried it, the OCD in me couldn't live with large chunks of the epg being 1 hour out and didn't like that i couldn't put the satellites in the order i want.
Hopefully the new 4k Technomate is as user friendly as the old 1500's were and supports FS.
You can put the the satellites in the order you want on the viark sat 4k box. Menu>Installation >Antenna Config>Select satellite and 2 clicks right on the remote allows you move to wherever you want in the list.

Hi Coastman,

I am ready to test on my box and see what happens. Apologies, but I don't have access to 7e or 21e.

I can access 28.2E, 23.5E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 10E, 9E......then 1W, 15W.

Do you have any transponders/feeds I can check on the above?
Hi Kippysat

There are no regular biss channels on the sats you have mentioned that are not clearing with the key updates but thanks for offer to check them out. A couple of channels on 4.9e and 3e only clear the with keys added manually
they are 4.9e XSport 11766H 30000 and 3e Al Ahad 11692H 2962 so not sure if anyone can clear them on biss au with this latest patch as stated previously does not work for me.

One ive heard mentioned is an E2 list to SDX convertor.

If one of them pulls that off, its a game changer.

Setedit do lists for E2 I'm pretty sure
Dreamset was able to convert e1 and i think e2 lists to sdx and sdx to e1 but those old versions dont support the latest sdx protocol sadly.

Last year I contacted Wolfgang asking for a better editor for Viark boxes, I bought some of Setedit version years ago.
He replied the following day but the process stopped there. No reply to my second email after about 1 month or so. Very bad luck.

Hi Coastman,

OK, appreciate the update. My set up doesn't have a motor so difficult to check all the satellites.

In the next few days I will alter my setup to lock on 3.0E, 4.8E and 7.0E and then try the TPs you suggested
to see what happens. Hopefully, I should also be able to check other feeds that come available on those Sats.

Morning,

Only have partial results to be honest. So altered my setup to access 7.0E. All BISS tps cleared
and BISS AU worked for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to set up for 3.0E and 4.8E.

I will try again on one of the next few weekends, if I am allowed to spend the time on it...lol.
Can't do anything during the week as I am working, so only have the weekends to try.

No worries. My old setup is back in place as I tested on the day for a few hours...

So TP's 10762, 11689, 11728 and two others (didn't record the numbers) all cleared.

Please note the signals weren't super strong at all as I used the 80cm dish, so I likely
missed others that may have been picked up on the bigger dish.

Hi Coastman,

Apologies for the delay in replying to this post with some results, but I have been quite busy with work.

So I did manage to test the BISS AU on 7E and 3E eventually. Here are the results of my testing along with
explanation of what happened. I have included lots of pictures to demonstrate the transponders that were
found and the results. Please excuse the number of pictures, there are a lot.

Just to confirm, this testing was done on a TM 5402 M4 with the May 17th 2023 patch and my box being SP1 enabled.

7E - BISS AU Test Results

10762 - V - Updated keys and cleared - please see attached picture - The sport is Ice Hockey
11689 - V - Updated keys and cleared - see picture - AVA channel

3E - BISS AU Test Results

TM - Blind Scan -------- KingOfSat
11651 - H
11655 - H 11654 - H (2M Mena, etc)
11670 - H
11674 - H
11694 - H (Service-1) 11690 - H (Al Ahad)

Curiously, the TPs with BISS are listed as 11654 - H and 11690 - H on KingOfSat. However, you will see from my
pictures that the numbers differ slightly on the TM Blind Scan. I am sure that the channels are correct and one of
them as per picture 11694 is actually AL-Ahad. Also, you will see in the picture that the scan did not label the
channel as Al-Ahad, but as Service-1. The reason I know it's Al-Ahad is that I checked the for channel on 7W/8W
on another box and the same screenshots were appearing and the channel name was Al-Ahad.

The blind scan produced lots of other channels as I had a clear bleed into the 1.9E Bulgaria Sat, so just ignore those channels.

I did the BISS testing twice. I did it firstly by simply blind scanning and then watching the channel eventually clear
after about 10 to 20 seconds. The second type of test was updating the Patch and BISS menus to remove the keys
completely, as you can see in the pictures.

Even after removing the keys, the box rescanned and then was able to update and clear the channel.

Thus, it does appear that the BISS AU is working on the TM 5402 M4 with the May 17th patch. Being SP1 registered
shouldn't make a difference as that is related to FS, but it is a point worth noting.

PS: Forgot to say that this was a 80cm dish with an Inverto Black Ultra twin lnb.

Excellent detailed information must have taken you a while to do this and then report back appreciate it as am sure others have. I have tried all the options to get biss au working from the details you have said but again has not worked for me but as said before think its a problem with the receiver itself so back to manually input of biss which is at least back able to do. I will persevere with the receiver for now in the hope that when the 4k version comes out as i think manic01 said towards the end of the year will have a patch that includes biss au. I have looked into getting the Viark 4k as from reading that dedicated thread seems to tick all the boxes for a non linux receiver but our forum sponsor does not seem
to stock it nor any other uk company from my searches so as said will stick to what have for the moment.
